Step by step male intimate hygiene

When kissing or having sex, it's best to be clean and smell good. Hygiene, more than something aesthetic, is a matter of health.

How to clean the penis correctly

Did you know that we all produce substances whose smell attracts other people?

Everyone has a natural smell, and this is very important in love and sex. This unique smell is produced by chemical signals called pheromones.

You may not be aware that you notice them, but they influence whether someone seems attractive to you or not.

Personal hygiene is important to avoid any type of disease, although for some people bad smells can be a fetish.

How to do male hygiene?

Remove sweat daily

Men tend to sweat a lot, some more than others.

The odor produced by sweat, especially in the armpits, is perfectly normal. But, be sure to clean this area with soap and water and apply deodorant.

Wash your face

Hormones can make the skin more oily and cause pimples to appear.

If you have acne, it is recommended to use a facial cleanser for oily skin. Do not use regular soap as it can dry out your skin.

Penis hygiene

Whether you are circumcised or not, the penis should not remain dirty and should be washed daily.

If you are uncircumcised, gently slide the foreskin down to reveal the head of the penis and wash with warm water only. Remove the smegma well.

Smegma is a white or yellowish substance produced by skin fat and dead epidermal cells that accumulate on the head of the glans. It's perfectly natural, but if it accumulates it causes bad odors, irritation and can even cause infections.

You can use a special soap to wash the body of the penis, such as a mild soap that does not alter the pH of the area.

After washing the penis, also wash the anus as usual.

Penis hygiene should also be done after sex, to remove semen that remains on the skin, natural mucus from the vagina or even the lubricant from the condom that remains on the penis. This practice is very important to avoid infections. It is not necessary to do it immediately after the sexual act, but it should not be forgotten.

After urinating, it is recommended to dry the penis with toilet paper to prevent it from getting wet inside the underwear. Many men do not practice this and end up creating a humid environment inside their underwear, conducive to infections.

Intimate waxing

It is recommended to shave or trim the pubic hair in the genital region (total or partial in the pelvic region) to avoid the accumulation of viruses, bacteria and fungi.

If you are going to shave, use a specific product to make the blade slide easier. Don't forget to shave in the direction of the hair to avoid folliculitis due to ingrown hairs. Moisturizing the area with a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer also helps prevent folliculitis after waxing.

Keeping your hygiene up to date does not disrupt pheromones, quite the opposite! Being clean and smelling good is very attractive to people.
